The province of Nova Scotia is doing its part to get more electric cars on the road with a rebate program for plug-in hybrid and fully electric vehicles (EVs). In addition to the $5,000 federal rebate already offered on new EV purchases, Nova Scotians can apply for one of up to $3,000 or $2,000 on new and used EVs, respectively. Which Mitsubishi Electric Car Models are Eligible for Nova Scotia's EV Rebate Program?
Our customers will be thrilled to know they can benefit from Nova Scotia's EV rebate program whether they intend to buy or lease their vehicle from Steele Mitsubishi. This provincial initiative gives motorists some welcome breathing room in the finance department for both outright purchases and leases ranging from 12 to 48 months. The longer your lease, the greater your provincial rebate, with purchases and 48-month lease agreements netting the largest financial break in the program.
As for which Mitsubishi full or plug-in hybrid EVs are eligible for the provincial rebate, you can qualify with your lease or purchase of one of a handful of fixtures among our fleet. Leading the eligible group is the 2017 i-MiEV, a five-seat fully electric hatchback that also comes with the full rebate of $5,000 from the federal government upon purchase. Those in the market for an eco-friendly SUV can also benefit from a financial break by leasing or buying a Mitsubishi Outlander plug-in hybrid of any model year between 2018 and 2021. This range accounts for a whopping 13 trims, with the 2021 Outlander lineup gaining eligibility just this past March.
